Sony To Sell Shares in Mobile Gaming Gompany DENA
Sony has announced it is selling 17million shares in Japanese gaming company DENA.
The shares will be sold to Nomura securities and earn the electronics firm around $440million in profits.
The profts from the sale will be booked as income for the current quarter. This sale is the last in a string of profitable deals for Sony who recently announced the sale of their Tokyo office complex for $1.2 billion, the sale of its U.S. headquarters for $1.1 billion, and the sale of shares in a medical subsidiary for $150 million.
The sale is expected to close on March 7, 2013
The PlayStation company hopes the sale will strengthen its corporate structure and help ensure a profit for the Financial Year 2012.
